Description

Responsible for the planning, organization and direction of the operations of the department through appropriate utilization of resources and delegation of responsibilities to achieve high quality standard of care in pharmacy services. Plans the course of the department to achieve budgetary and regulatory compliance while insuring continuous quality of services provided. Positions the department to achieve best practice in clinical services and medication management systems while insuring continuous quality of services provided. Responsible for the physical pharmacy plant, all pharmacy related automation, and controlled substance compliance. Promotes the education and development of the pharmacy staff regarding pharmacy operational and clinical pharmacy activities. Achieves and maintains satisfactory working relationships pharmacy staff and other hospital departments, committees and administrators.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
4 year/Bachelor's Degree

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS (MAY VARY BASED ON DEPARTMENT NEEDS).

Board eligible for Pennsylvania licensure may be accepted in lieu of actual license; PA Pharmacist License required within 4 months
